Notes
NEW NATIONAL THEATRE, WASHINGTON, DC
*****************************************************
DVORAK: Title in program is "Symphony in E minor, Op. 95, 'The New World'"

WHILE THE PROGRAM FOR THIS CONCERT LISTS ONLY THE HUNGARIAN MARCH
AS HAVING BEEN PLAYED, TIMINGS WERE PENCILED INTO THE BOUND VOLUME WHICH INDICATE 14 MINUTES FOR THAT WORK. SINCE THE MARCH TAKES ONLY 5 MINUTES, BUT THE THREE EXCERPTS PERFORMED ON SEPTEMBER 8 WOULD HAVE TAKEN 13-14 MINUTES, A QUESTION REMAINS AS TO WHAT WAS PERFORMED.

SINCE THE SEASON INDEX INDICATES THAT THE HUNGARIAN MARCH WAS PLAYED, AND WE DO NOT KNOW THE SOURCE OF THE PENCILED TIMINGS, WE ASSUME THAT THE PROGRAM IS ACCURATE UNTIL FURTHER RESEARCH IS DONE.
