Notes
CONDUCTOR CHANGE:
DUE TO THE SUDDEN DEATH OF ANTON SEIDL, 28 MAR 1898

"Out of respect for the universal feelings of sorrow and regret arising from the sudden death of the Pilharmonic Society's Conductor, Mr. Anton Seidl, the fourth part of the Symphony with Schiller's 'Ode to Joy' will be omitted. In its place 'Siegfried's Death' from Götterdämmerung by Wagner will be given."

Roster

Scheduled to perform were Mrs. Carl Alves, contralto; William H. Rieger, tenor; Heinrich Meyn, the rubinstein Chorus and the Apollo Club chorus. They apparently did not perform.

Intermission not indicated. Inserted in most likely place.
