The New York Philharmonic musicians volunteered to perform in a joint concert with Philadelphia Orchestra musicians on 10 Nov 1996. A librarian note with a set of parts for "Dance of the Buffoons" from Tchaikovsky's "The Snow Maiden" states they were used on this date; this work was not in the announced program but may have been included as an encore. The other works were listed in announcements in the New York Times and the Philadelphia Inquirer. A program or review has not yet been found.
