Conductor Debut Week

Alexei Lubimov was scheduled to perform Rachamaninoff Piano Concerto No. 4 in Philharmonic debut, but he cancelled on account of the death of his mother, October 21, 1997. He was replaced by Jean-Yves Thibaudet playing the Ravel Concerto for Piano Left Hand.
