Notes
  • Score dimensions: 11" x 13"
Score initialed ZM for Zubin Mehta.
This score is a xerox of an Adolf Fuerstner edition from the late 19th century. The original score this was photocopied from was marked by Erich Leinsdorf.
The box for this set was marked Overture & Venusberg from Tannhauser, Paris Version.
Included in supplemental materials are various incidental pieces of music including an offstage small ensemble (handwritten parts and a small score), the inserts and ending to "Der Venusberg" for Violin 1, 2 and Viola (handwritten), and some choral part with piano reduction for the Chorus of Sirens scene. It's not clear what performances these parts were used for.
