Page from the New-York Daily Tribune from July 20, 1902 with an article titled "Philharmonic Veterans. The Society's Conductors--the Old Style and the New--Loder, Eisfeld, Bergmann, Thomas and Seidl." Includes this passage: "Wiegers had the reputation of being an admirable arranger of music, a good violinist and a clever conductor; he would probably have won a more prominent position in the soctety had he not been the victim of dissipated habits."
