Abstract
- Joseph Francis Emonts, first cellist, is arrested at Lewisohn Stadium before a concert on the charge of kidnapping his infant daughter from his estranged wife - Baritone Paul Robeson performs a set of African American spirituals - Albertina Rasch and her company of 75 dancers present two ballet programs to the works of classical and modern composers, part of a collaboration with her husband and composer Dimitri Tiomkin. The Eva Jessye Choir performs and the program is conducted by Huge Riesenfeld - Hall Johnson's choir presents new arrangements of African American spirituals at Stadium Concerts - Two-time winner of Stadium Concert Essay Contest Zena Abrams-Debune submitted essays from the perspective of fictional people, a dancehall girl and a scrub-woman - Mrs. Clarence H. Mackay, formerly known as Anna Case, comes out of retirement to perform Schubert's Ave Maria and three songs by Edwin McArthur
