Discussion of the state of contract negotiations with the Musicians' Union. Report on crisis with Carnegie Hall and suggestions of three alternative possibilities: purchase of Carnegie Hall; purchase of an existing hall, and construction of a new hall. Metropolitan Opera is considering purchase of a property and construction of a new opera house, and will give the Society the opportunity of joining with them in this project.
