Subscriber expressing annoyance with Philharmonic performance of National Anthem at beginning of concert; AFM requirement that National Anthem was played at beginning of union organization concerts to encourage patriotism; Responses of Arthur Judson to National Anthem complaints, citing "evidences of patriotism" as reason for performance; Subscriber complaint against Board that they were disinterested in subscriber opinions; Subscriber critism of "too much American music" being played at Philharmonic concerts; Letter from Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia about alleged ticket speculation incident at Carnegie Hall; Philharmonic ceases to play National Anthem at concerts after WWII is over; Complaints about excessive US Rubber Company product advertisments in Philharmonic broadcasts.
