Notes
Note: # 8a. on program is "Slumber dear Jesus," but then the program is cut off -- unclear what 8b, 8c, etc. were.

NY Times review (Jan. 1, 1922) listed encores, including Hughes - "some nursery rhymes". There were also "old French and German carols by the quartet", which the review seems to indicate were played before the Rimsky-Korsakov, but those are not listed in the program nor mentioned by name in the review. Unless "Slumber dear Jesus" is the first of these (and the rest are cut off). Because this is unclear, there are no soloists listed for the "Slumber dear Jesus" number, but it is grouped together with the unspecified carols.

The Symphony Society Bulletin was a newsletter produced in advance of the New York Symphony concerts. It is not known at this time if what was programmed actually happened. There is no known complete set of New York Symphony programs so all performance information is compiled from a variety of sources.
