Abstract
A copy of Anthony Reiff, Jr's 1913 handwritten account of Jenny Lind's American debut (1850), including her arrival in New York. Reiff, along with his father and U.C. Hill played in the Castle Garden orchestra for her performances. A newspaper account (c.1911) written by Reiff, Jr of his rehearsing and conducting the Philadelphia performances of Gilbert and Sullivan's Pirates of Penzance (1880) which took place immediately following the premiere in New York where he worked with Gilbert and Sullivan.
