Notes
"The Testimonial Concert to be given by the New York Symphony Orchestra, Walter Damrosch, Conductor, to the High School Pupils of Greater New York on Monday Afternoon, November 15th, 1920. Is Unique in the History of School Music.
Over 1,500 Pupils Have Been Studying and Rehearsing the Following Program:
[pieces listed as to be played at this performance].
In order that these pupils may consciously acquire a criterion of correct judgment concerning a perfect orchestral ensemble, the Symphony Society has generously donated the services of the orchestra and conductor for this purpose, and on this occasion the professional orchestra will perform the same program which the children have been studying.
This event marks an epoch in the greater cooperation between public school education and the larger cultural development of the community."

The Symphony Society Bulletin was a newsletter produced in advance of the New York Symphony concerts. It is not known at this time if what was programmed actually happened. There is no known complete set of New York Symphony programs so all performance information is compiled from a variety of sources.
