Notes
Checked: Stadium concert scrapbook, 23 July 1926, Herald-Tribune. This concert was described as a race against the clock because of oncoming rain. After the first droplet at the end of the second movement, Mr. van Hoogstraten decided to skip directly to "the last movement, with the chorus," leaving out the Adagio movement and the introduction to the fourth movement. They succeeded in finishing the excerpt before the rain made playing too difficult.
