Abstract
ALS-Otto Klemperer to Arthur Judson, a long letter of complaint that Klemperer was not reengaged as a guest conductor and was passed over as Music Director to succeed Toscanini. He feels deeply offended and insulted from his treatment by the Philharmonic, which affects him financially as well as personally and artistically. He has been informed that Wilhelm Furtwaengler was chosen as the new Musical Director of the Philharmonic. Klemperer requests that this letter be read by Judson at the next meeting of the Philharmonic Board of Directors.
