The program lists Schubert's Symphony in C as one of the works; we have assumed that this was Schubert's "Great" Symphony because it was by far the most frequently performed Schubert Symphony in the key of C. Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumble-Bee" was played as an encore twice. This concert was a planned rain-day alternative to the first performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony of the Stadium season. The intended (Beethoven) performance was postponed one day.
