"The usual Stadium Concert is being held at the New York State Amphitheatre, at Flushing Meadow Park, to help celebrate its opening. The usual Stadium tickets will be honored for this concert. In case of rain this concert will be held tomorrow at Flushing Meadow Park."

Mayor La Guardia and Commissioner Moses also spoke at the opening.
